Project Description:

Project to install additional third compressor unit and two independent closed circuits lubrification oil for existing Gas Compression Station of TFT, Algeria.

The TFT compressor station is located between upstream and downstream of the existing two pipelines TFT GR1 and GR2.

Project target is to increase gas flow capacity for GR1/GR2 gas pipeline transportation system.

Instrumentation & HSE activities performed:

Activities involved the upgrade existing F&G and fire-fighting system, instrumentation, and telecommunication design according to the new requirements determined by the addition of a new compression unit.

Performed activities were instrumentation material requisition, including the preparation of all relevant technical annexes and technical bid evaluations, as well as detail engineering for field and control room.

During the design of the new units, hydraulic calculation for the fire-fighting water ring requirements according to the NFPA standard and the positioning of the new fire-fighting equipment were performed. Scope of work also involved the preparation of the Hazardous Areas Classification, Emergency Plan and Escape Routes for plant area.
